Chiat Siang & Xinwei first met in school, where they were both teaching. It all started when Xinwei needed to borrow a ruler, or rather, Xinwei secretly checking out Chiat Siang at his desk.
The couple welcomed us to their beautiful new home, where we spent the day sharing about future plans. Like Chiat Siang, we’re looking forward to welcoming the Liu triplets 😀
Their outdoor shoot was initially planned for Botanic Gardens. Met with bad weather, we had better luck at Tiong Bahru amongst the conservation houses. Xinwei’s traditional cheong sam really contrasted with the white walls, bringing a total “In the Mood for Love” vibe. Chiat Siang matched that with a great choice of a maroon 3-piece suit.
Banquets held at JW Marriott are always a challenge for videographers. Most prefer to stick to the 16:9 or 4:3 rectangle dimensions for their videos. I prefer to take advantage of the massive dome screen, going full screen and accounting for what the dome cuts off. Even with the small challenge, JW Marriott South Beach remains a favourite amongst couples, with the ease of holding their ROM on the mezzanine floor. Coupled with stunning chandeliers, it’s definitely a sight to behold!
The bridesmaids were led by Shuangwei, Xinwei’s sister. She definitely made sure Chiat Siang didn’t have an easy time during the gatecrash. Also, we just want to give a shout-out to both Xinwei & Chiat Siang’s parents for taking amazing care of us throughout the day. A day of family and love all around!
